But why is June gone??

   June is one of my more favorite months. Probably because it holds the beginning of summer, the longest day, the pool open, warmth, etc. And so I ask myself, why is June gone? Where has it gone and why will it take 11 months for it to come again? (Although with the way months pass for me these days it will feel more like 11 days...)
   But alas June has gone and we are left with the shortening of days, and the inevitability that "Christmas is just around the corner." Not that Christmas is bad, it is a wonderful time of year, inspiring good deeds, happiness, joy and love. But to those that have to work retail can well attest, very few days do we feel the happiness that is supposed to accompany that time of year--

And now December itself has gone the way June has, one month melting into another.
