A Day Trip...

Washington D.C. is truly a beautiful city... and that was our destination on Thursday. We 'had' to take Stephen up to meet up with some friends, and so we both got work off and spent a day in the car.
Our trip started out early enough, but only after Eric had spent some quality time doing service (while I slept :( hence his unkempt, dazed (but endearing) look--and his curly, unruly hair! We picked Steven up and then commenced the drive up. This trip was made worth it by the dinner at 'La Tolteca' (arguably one of the best authentic Mexican places in existence), a movie theater with leather reclining chairs (almost making the matinee price of $8.50 worth is--almost), and of course the long awaited trip to 7 Eleven.
Unfortunately for me (or fortunately, depending on which angle we examine...) there are few 7-Eleven convenience stores in NC. Those that exist aren't within a reasonable daily drive, and so I crave their hot chocolate. Not all 7-Eleven places have good hot chocolate--but those that do *sigh* delicious. This case, before leaving the place of Eric's childhood, we stopped by for my hot chocolate fix. But fate would not have it be, and the H.C. I had been envisioning was still only a dream. Maybe one day....
