Merry Christmas to All!

Dearest Family and Friends,
It has been such a short year!  It seems like just yesterday that we were sitting at this very computer to write a letter not unlike this one.  We wrote about our move to North Carolina, Marianne’s new job, Eric’s new store and we concluded the letter with how our life had settled into a routine of work and sleep.  Throughout this year this cycle has continued with relatively little variance.
Eric runs a new (to him) Shack about 2 and a half miles from the last one that was in the mall. This one is in a strip mall location and presents him with more challenges and unique opportunities.
Marianne still works at the Urgent Care facility here in Cary.  They have needed to cut hours and downsize the staff a little, while at the same time fight the black death mold growing in the walls from a leaky roof that still leaks.  With her hours cut it has been a blessing to for her to tend our newest niece Madeline and nephew Seth.  Every day she enjoys the pleasure of getting to know them and watching their personalities grow.  She misses them always on the weekends and holidays.
The biggest news for Eric is that he graduated.  Yes, after many years of toil and labor it is finished, he is a graduate!!  He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University.
We still enjoy every moment we spend with each other and find ourselves longing for more time together.  This season of the year especially as we think of the things that we are thankful for and for the blessings of eternal marriage.  We wish for all happiness, joy, a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.  May this letter bring you our love and best wishes.
Love,
Eric and Marianne Durr
