My Week with Rose!

This week my friend Rose from school came to visit me! We were so excited to have her with us for so many days! Eric kindly took the truck each day while we tooled around with our car. I was able to get most of the time off of work I needed to, with only working three-four hours each morning. However that prevented us from venturing too far away from Cary--so no OBX, no D.C., no Appalachian Mountains... But we did get to go picking strawberries!

The fields were teeming with ripe strawberries, ready for the eating, the picking... and the sweet wafting breeze tantalizing our noses. It was fantastic!

The shack invited us and beguiled our pocketbooks :) almost as nice as the strawberries themselves. A small oasis of shade, the final accounting of our baskets worth. But either way, we had a great time together. Most of our time was spent talking, and working on textile/paper and wood projects... and just enjoying the company, before Rose had to return home for her  Summer Semester at the U of U.
