Giving Thanks

Too often life is lived without thanks, gratitude or thoughtful reminiscence. This post is dedicated to a remembrance of blessings. Eric and I brainstormed what we are thankful for, and this is what we came up with. Even though the list is far from being comprehensive, there are only so many things on a list one can read! So, we are confined to A-Z.

We are thankful for: 

Automobiles (and for the fact that we still have ours! Not stolen yet!)

Books (being an English major kind of helps this out ;)

Catan--as in Settlers of Catan!

Dreams, where ambition begins

Education (including formal, everyday, experience and insight)

Forever Families: We love you all! Brothers, Sisters, Nephews, Niece (soon to be plural!) Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, everyone!

Google--and from it: gmail, blogger, Picasa, Google Maps etc. All good things :)

Home, health & happiness

Insulin: the only way that Eric lives now

Jesus Christ & His gospel

Kindness, a little goes a long way

Life, living, the ups, the down, the whole experience

Money, because desire doesn't fill the gas tank

Naps! my source of peace and duration

Opportunity, the availability of options, choice and improvement

Photography

Quiet, the sounds of silence

Rest & relaxation

Safety & security, emotional, and temporal

Time, in all aspects, but mostly for any at all

United States of America, our freedom and liberty

Vacation for without it, working isn't as worth it!

Work, the kind you get paid for, and the kind you don't...and from work, then money/livelyhood, and an escape from monotony

X-ceptional Friends: again, too many to list comprehensively, but significantly Rose, Riley, Bill, Bro/Sis Machintosh, etc.

Yesterday, from which perspective is gained, and lessons learned

Zen, as in Tranquility and Peace.
